Nail Art Challenge Entry

The lovely Cathy at More Nail Polish ran a Nail Art Challenge a little while back with the theme being "Inspired By"

When I first came to Australia, we lived in an apartment that had big pale orange hibiscus flowers in the garden and they were the size of dinner plates. I had never seen such large flowers. Then we moved to our present address and I was absolutely stunned and delighted when these gorgeous red hibiscus made their presence known!

So these are my inspiration pictures

As you can see the green background has some very shiny leaves, and I thought China Glaze Glittering Garland with Finger Paints Flecked layered over the top captured this perfectly.

On top of the green mani I showed you yesterday, I used Kleancolor Metallic Red as the base for the flower, with Nubar Honeysuckle standing in for the luminous pink centre of the hibiscus flower.

For the yellow stamens, I used Kleancolor Metallic Yellow with Butter London Tart With A Heart layered over it just to add some sparkle.
