Warning!!

Picture Polish Warning, and the warning is- that Picture Polish Wisteria is in real danger of being knocked off the joint top spot in my Top 50 favourite polishes. (For those that don't know my joint top favourites are Picture Polish Wisteria and OPI Blue My Mind)

If you love Picture Polish Wisteria you will adore Picture Polish Warning, which is a teensy bit bluer and darker with the added benefit of sparkle! This was two coats without a top coat and the application was perfect.

A shade picture showing more of the blue colour and lovely sparkle!

Still On A Brown Kick!

Having rediscovered my love for brown from the seventies, when I wore the colour ALOT! I have been busy collecting brown polishes, and here is one that I could not pass up Picture Polish Demeter and as the saying so aptly puts it, it's "for all the down to earth goddesses!" out there. And let me tell you it is beautiful in real life, but you guessed it the sun has washed out the colour for my camera once again. Those holographic particles glow every colour of the rainbow!

Here it is in semi shade and you can see the colour is very rich looking. This was two coats, although you could get away with just the one. Followed by Seche Vite top coat. All the Picture Polish shades I have are very long lasting and seem resistant to chipping. And yes this has gone straight into My Top 40 which shall be renamed My Top 50! My good intentions of removing a polish so that a new favourite could take it's place have sadly fallen by the wayside!

Monkey See Monkey Do!!

This photo is far too cute not to show. Mummy had her nails done and not to be out done Mr3 and Miss2 choose the brightest pink they could find to out shine her!!!
Unfortunately, as it's my daughter who has gone to all this trouble, I have no information as to colour, application etc etc lol

Killing Not Two BUT Three Birds With One Stone!

Here we have all three lined up, unfortunately it has done little to deplete my untried's as another sixteen have turned up!

I was in Portmans the other day, buying bangles- when buy two polishes for $10 sign caught my eye, usual price $7.95 this was before I found out about the Savvy brand. The choice was limited to blues and reds or pinks, so I choose this Blueberry and Teal. Not exactly names to set you on fire either! Portmans Blueberry is a blue inky black I used two coats for this mani. Out of Portmans and Savvy, I much prefer Savvy for brush and formula plus their exciting names.

Next up is Darling Diva Polish Anita, large red, blue and white hexs with some small holographic sparkles in a clear base on an accent nail. I'm afraid I didn't like the matt white hexs so I've been picking them out! I think Darling Diva Anita with just the shiny red and blue hexs and holographic glitter looks just gorgeous layered over dark colours.

And lastly, one coat of Models Prefer Ruby Slippers layered on all my nails. This is a fine red glitter with a smattering of small red and silver hexs in a clear base. This combo helped tame my way out there accent nail! (Well way out to me, as I usually shy away from accent nails). Followed by two coats of Seche Vite to make every thing glassy smooth.

Continuation!

So I paid about $7 or $8 for 5 mini polishes the majority of which I already own! But it was the fifth one that caught my eye- I checked on the Models Prefer shelf and no they did not have a full size of this....

Chain Reaction, I've never seen anything like it before, it looks like a thick gel, which it is, full of irregular shaped flakes of something! Anyway enough of my less than adequate description on to the pictures I only did an accent nail as its such a tiny bottle. So over Savvy Green Tea Martini, one coat of Models Prefer Chain Reaction  plus a top coat of  Seche Vite.

Green Tea Martini?

I was reading one of Lab Muffin's articles the other day where she raved about the Australian brand Savvy (luckily before the weekend) so I was able to hot foot it off to Priceline to buy Savvy Flaming Blue. And whilst I was rummaging in the bins, unfortunately no nicely arranged shelf space for this brand, I also came across this Savvy Green Tea Martini! All I can say is WOW what a name!

And WOW what a polish! This was opaque in one coat but I did two followed by Seche Vite top coat. This is an absolutely stunning dark green and so affordable too, I would even go as far as to compare it to some top name brands with its lovely brush and brilliant colours... I will definitely be purchasing some more.

And (insert dramatic music) I found something equally stunning, if not more so.....
To Be Continued!

Dragon Nails!

I have another one of Darling Diva Polishes to show you, this one is called Pendragon, a beautiful mix of greens, brown, copper and gold different sized hexs, plus a good bit of gold holo dust thrown in to amp up the sparkle. The sun shone and washed out the colour! Ultra3 Chocolate Cake does not look like that in ordinary situations!

A shade picture so you can feast your eyes on what I consider to be quite a drool worthy mani. So on to my mani, I have layered one coat of Pendragon over two coats of my go to brown cream Ultra3 Chocolate Cake (I think I'll need a backup as I seem to use it with everything just lately). Followed by two coats of Seche Vite which has pulled back the polish just a touch as I did not wait for each coat to dry fully, oh well c'est la vie!

OMG! How on Earth Can I NOT Get These?

Photo from BritishBeautyBlogger
Reading BritishBeautyBlogger I came across this post- Hello Kitty is going to be stocked in Superdrug a UK store in October. I do so need these, just for the cute Kitty bottles if nothing else!

Fish Eggs in the News Again!

Well I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened The Daily Mail website to read the English News over my morning coffee and saw this Headline-

Fishy Happenings in the Beauty Industry

I thought this particular kettle of fish had been cooked and eaten!
