Happy Australia Day Every One

Well its Australia Day, which means Holiday Time! This year I thought I would  join in the nail fun too... I was only going to just do a swatch but I loved how the colours looked so this is now a full mani without my gel base coats.

For those that don't know green and gold are the colours for Australia's International sporting teams, so for this Australia Day mani I have used OPI Goldeneye and Layla Galaxy Green sponged on so there was no hard demarcation line. Followed by two coats of Seche Vite. These colours look so rich and gorgeous together even if I do say so myself!

And  here are everyone else's beautiful nails:-

Eighteen Bottles of Polish = Fatal Attraction

So eighteen bottles of polish arrive on my doorstep on Monday one lot from a well known Australian brand and the other lot from a newly formed Australian company: Let battle commence!

Well to be honest there was only ever going to be one winner, as soon as I saw this particular bottle come tumbling out of the safety of all that bubble wrap I was hooked! And as it turns out, so well named too!!

This is the oh so pretty Femme Fatale Fatal Attraction from the Valentine Trio, it is a deep magenta polish with scattered holographic particles in a rich burgundy.

On to my mani then, this was three coats of Femme Fatale Fatale Attraction, which dried a bit matte and two coats of Seche Vite to give it that lovely glossy finish.

Sunlight washes out the colour, but, you get to see the sparkles

I'm afraid I don't know too much about Femme Fatale Cosmetics apart from they are a newish company and I adore their nail polish. And its company policy to send out free gifts, this time I received confetti, lollies and some nail stickers along with samples of their mineral eye shadows, we customers are so pampered!

Limited Edition Beam 507

Here I'm showing you Ozotic Pro 507, which Picture Polish have just announced that it has become a Limited Edition shade! The Ozotic Pro Sugar and Beam Collection are just too pretty for words, I've already swatched the Sugar part of the Collection and now I'm moving on to the Beam part.

The Beam Collection are top coats and don't really show their true beauty until layered over another colour. Here I have chosen Pretty Serious Tux, a beautiful black with a teal green shimmer to give it some depth. Pretty Serious Tux is brilliantly glossy by itself, but in these pictures I do have a Seche Vite top coat, as this was my mani for a few days.

This is one coat of Ozotic Pro Beam 507 over Tux. Ozotic Pro Beam 507 has blue and yellow glass flecks making it look very foil like in the shade but very sparkly in the sunlight, a win win state of affairs!

New Years Eve with The Living Daylights!

OK so what is a girl to do, when New Years Eve falls on a week night and you have to work all day before getting ready to go out? Well I took the easy option of just adding one coat of OPI The Living Daylights to strategic nails i.e. ring and thumb and called it good enough!

OPI The Spy Who Loved Me was applied on the Friday night before, and these photos were taken on Monday New Years Eve, just in case you were wondering how well the OPI wears.

My Last Mani of the Year!

When Cathy of More Nail Polish did her wonderful review of Gelicious Hybrid Gel nails I was intrigued as I suffer from weak splitting nails. So when Ozsale had a sale I purchased the kit
with the LED light, Alive, which is a very, very sheer as in almost colourless pink and the Ultra Glaze top coat; which are then perfect for applying your own mani!

So on to my last mani of 2012, this was Gelicious Hybrid Gel nails followed by two coats of OPI The Spy Who Loved Me and that's it!

OPI The Spy Who Loved Me is a beautiful scarlet with gold shimmer, and perfect in two coats
