And I Was Waiting For... Blogger!!

And this is it Picture Polish Blogger, my new favourite glitter of all time beating OPI Mad As A Hatter into second place! I adore small tiny glitter and alas alack not that many companies make their polishes with the super shiney tiny glitters I love so much. Plus Picture Polish has the added benefit of just a few medium sized hexs to make it interesting. Prepare yourselves for alot of pictures as it was so hard to just choose a few when this polish is so pretty!

On to my mani then, I've used another Picture Polish innovation namely Revolution a base coat specifically for glitters, which apparently makes glitter removal a piece of cake! I have not tested that part out yet, but plenty of other bloggers have and it works. Then two coats of Picture Polish Violet Femme showing remarkably blue in these pictures when in fact it is most definitely violet. Followed by Picture Polish Blogger in an arc at the top of my nails, and then two coats of Seche Vite, which has not had any shrinkage issues at all with Picture Polish Revolution base coat.

I will let you in on a little secret, when Picture Polish Violet Femme first arrived on my doorstep three months ago I thought it was a bit too bright and garish, but the first time I wore it all those thoughts completely left my mind. Violet Femme is now one of my Favourite Polishes Of All Time! And this particular mani has also gone into My Favourite Mani's Of All Time too.

I've included this sunlight picture so you can see just how sparkly and reflective Picture Polish Blogger is, although the sun has washed out the colour a touch.

This is an indoor shot that shows the same Picture Polish Violet Femme all moody and vampy. Violet Femme is a dream of a polish that applies beautifully and is perfect in two coats.

While I Wait!

Picture Polish have released some new colours so while I wait oh so patiently (No really, I can do patient) I thought I would wear Picture Polish Mallard.

And after all the pale or bright colours I have been wearing just lately, Picture Polish Mallard has been a welcome change. I had almost forgotten how much I loved deep rich colours and Mallard is certainly very rich looking, being a bottle green with lovely orange glowy flakies!

This was two coats of Picture Polish Mallard followed by a Seche Vite top coat. Unfortunately I used a different base coat and the Seche Vite has shrunk a fraction.

You can check out Picture Polishes new releases on any of their social media sites listed below:-

St George's Day - 23rd April

St George is the patron saint of England, and his feast day is the 23rd April, so having done  Australia Day and Paddy's Day mani's, I thought it only right and proper that I treated you all to my St George's Day mani. And so here is my red cross of St George on a white background.

So on to my mani, two coats of Sally Hansen White On followed by two coats of Picture Polish White Wedding a beautiful shimmery soft white. I actually use Picture Polish White Wedding quite alot, but alas it has not had its own post until now. Picture Polish White Wedding is so hard to photograph though as the shimmer stays hidden but I think I have finally captured it!

And for the red accent nail as well as the red cross I could think of no better colour to use than Picture Polish O'Hara, a beautiful scarlet scattered holographic polish. And this again was two coats. These two colours are just so clean looking and gorgeous together, but then again I might be slightly biased!

Picture Polish have just released some exciting new colours (I have some winging their way to me) so please check out the links below:-

Spring Anyone?

With the sound of the constant rain in the background I thought I would do a post looking forward to Spring, which isn't really happening for another five months here in Australia!

So one sunny day I wore two coats of Picture Polish White Wedding a lovely soft white followed by two coats of Australis Milky Way and a top coat of Seche Vite. Australis Milky Way is a white crelly with turquoise specks and multi coloured hexs. I bought this polish as it was a cheaper way to find out if I liked white polishes with a multitude of different colours. And I can safely say I do!

The following pictures are of my other white polishes with glitter that I have reviewed on my blog previously, I thought it would be nice to have a post of them together.

Paint It Blue For April Autism Awareness Month

Having taken eleventy billion pictures, I have reached the sad conclusion that my camera does not like green! I have shot four sets of pictures over two days and not one of them shows the lovely blue/green colour play I can see so clearly in real life. So I'm afraid this is the best of a bad job.

And I so wanted to get it right as April is Autism Awareness Month where nail bloggers are painting it blue to shine attention on Autism.

The players in my mani in order of use are OPI Blue My Mind (my favourite blue); Ozotic Pro 505, Ozotic Pro 528 (now sadly discontinued) which change between green, blue and purple; Sally Hansen Mermaid's Tale  blue and green hexes; and Skinfood Sparkle #5 a beautiful sapphire with red and purple specks.

So on to my mani then, this was three coats of OPI Blue My Mind on all four fingers and three coats of Skin Food Sparkle #5 on my thumb.

Then I added two coats of Ozotic Pro 505 to my ring finger Ozotic Pro 528 to my middle finger and lastly Sally Hansen Mermaid's Tale to my index finger. This had the effect of going from plain blue on my pinkie to a smooth green colour change with ever larger particles finishing up with the green and blue hexs of Sally Hansen Mermaid's Tale on my index finger.

The Skin Food Sparkle #5 was there for when the Ozotic Pro's changed to purple plus I think its very pretty in its own right.

And lastly, the only sunlit picture where you can see the colour changes gonig on!

OPI Spotted Again!

Going out one evening without changing my polish! (oh dear) I must admit I was too ill, so instead I just freshened up my mani with OPI Spotted previously reviewed in depth here.

A New Love = White!

I've recently discovered a love for white polish! Yes its true, not that old whiteout school look, but rather a soft white crelly with glitter or just soft white. So here is my latest acquisition  Emily de Molly Sakura a soft milky white crelly with medium and smaller sized fuchsia dots and small charcoal hexes. Sakura means Cherry Blossom in Japanese and this polish certainly gives that impression of those beautiful flowers on your finger tips!

Emily de Molly is an Indie brand made right here in Australia, and can be accessed from a couple of international stockists as well as Femme Fatale Cosmetics.
On to my mani then, this was three thin coats plus a Seche Vite top coat. It made my nails look very fresh and clean.

A quick reminder there is only two weeks left to enter my competition.
