Cult Nails Kiss-

When Cult Nails had their pre-sale on for the set of four polishes in their Passionate Dreams Collection I was a bit hesitant to buy them as there was a wax finish polish in there that I was unsure about. I like my nails to be glossy or sparkly or both together! Anyhoo I stuck Cult Nails Kiss on my mitts and decided I could always take it off after the photos. Well after getting used to the soft effect and gorgeous colour, Kiss stayed on for the week. (I'm not quite there with matte polish yet).

Shade
Cult Nails Kiss is a true red, that looks a bit darker than my photos are showing. On to my mani then, two coats of Kiss although this did cover in one coat. Because it chipped a bit I then put a coat of Seche Vite on, which made the colour a beautiful glossy scarlet which is also stunning by the way. Then another coat of Kiss which still gave the soft wax finish and the sandwich of Seche Vite put a stop to my chipping issues for the rest of the week.

Angel Whispers!

Cult Nails have recently bought out a set of four polishes named Passionate Dreams Collection which I snapped up in their pre-sale, and I am so glad I did. The first one I have to show you is Angel Whispers a beautiful textured pale sparkly pink which dries a bit matt.
Around about at the same time I had some Born Pretty water decals to use. My mani was two coats Cult Nails Angel Whispers followed by Seche Vite top coat and then the Born Pretty water decals followed by another top coat of Seche Vite to seal the decal. This man looks a lot softer and delicate in real life and it might just be a contender for a Bridal mani later this year!

Valentines Day and not having the time to do a new mani I just put OPI Pirouette My Whistle and declared my mani good to go! Did this actually add anything to my mani? Well I have to say not really, Cult Nails Angel Whispers is really good enough by itself!

Navy and Gold For Adam

Yes I'm afraid it was a very sad day when my Father-in-Law finally succumbed to cancer. I didn't really get to know him well, but his legacy of love and kindness lives on in my husband along with a wonderful singing voice. However before he died he did say his favourite colours were navy and gold. Whilst thinking about these colours, I thought about the significance they have had in my own life:- my secondary school tie was navy with two gold stripes, plus many years later my university colours on our Bachelor gowns were navy and gold too.

I was going to do some nail art to honor Adam, but in the end I didn't want it to be anything less than perfect so I opted for the easiest option of an accent nail. The colours I used were OPI I Saw U Saw We Saw Warsaw, which looks more navy in real life, forever afterwards known as ISUSWSW and OPI Golden Eye. This was two coats each followed by a top coat of Seche Vite.

My daughter kindly agreed to showing off her mani which was Colors by Llarowe Dirty Diana with an accent nail of Covergirl Black Diamond with Ulta3 Triple Threat  a multi coloured glitter in a black base followed by a topcoat of Seche Vite.

And this is how we will remember Adam, full of life.
