Tyger! Tyger! Burning Bright

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright.
In the forests of the night,
what immortal hand or eye,
could frame thy fearful symmetry?

The opening verse to my favourite poet William Blake's poem, it is also the first poem I learnt off by heart at junior school for an English Speaking Certificate which I still have (along with the rest of the certificates I have accumulated along the way to do with History and English).
Anyway moving right along...

On to my mani two coats of Ulta3 Creme Brulee, a slightly greyed beige nude, extremely flattering to most skin tones, with a stripe of Kleancolor Metallic Orange down the centre of each nail. I probably should have sponged this on to make the demarcation lines softer, but I didn't. I then used MoYou London Pro Collection XL 04 to stamp on the tiger stripes with Kleancolor Metallic Black. All topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I absolutely adored my tiger nails, and I probably would wear this all the time, but others would get bored! On a side note the family came to stay and the grandchildren loved my tiger nails too, so by the end of the first day we all had beautiful tiger stripes.

MoYou London Mother Nature 10

Mmmm I'm afraid I couldn't really think of a title for this, and to be quite fair I'm not loving this mani either. I can't even pinpoint why this is not working for me, perhaps its to do with my love for order and symmetry! And yet I have seen so many similar mani's on the Internet that look so pretty, that I was eager to do my own. Anyway I will leave it for another day or two to see if this mani grows on me!

On to my mani then, three coats of one of Ulta3's new colours for the Australian Autumn Blackberry Tart a gorgeous berry coloured jelly. I just love the squishiness of  jelly polishes and I must get some more of them. Stamped with Sinful Colors Snow Me White using MoYou London Mother Nature 10. And I was so excited to be using the OPI sheer tints in I'm Never Amberrassed (yellow), Be Magentale With Me (pink), Don't Violet Me Down (amethyst) and I Can Teal You Like Me (blue). Although there didn't seem to be much difference between the pink and amethyst colours, I do love the sheer tints and will definitely be using them again.

Swagger Your Tail Feather!

I know the opening title is a bad play on words (Strut your Stuff) but, in my defence, it was the only title that stuck in my mind so we all have to live with it! And I can not believe how the afternoon sun has made my hands look like boiled lobsters either, so try to ignore that and instead concentrate on these gorgeous colours from Picture Polish.

Swagger is a beautiful mid toned blue creme on par with my beloved Wisteria! And Tail Feather is a 2014 collaboration shade with Kayla Shevonne who has described her colour much better than I can here. These were just two coats each and then top coated with Seche Vite. I was going to do some stamping but I thought the polish was too pretty to hide away so instead I used some of my Born Pretty nail studs. This mani created quite a lot of interest at work because it was so striking yet simple and not what the customers have grown used to seeing!

This picture was taken the day before in the morning and the only reason I have not used this set of photos was my dry rough cuticles. They were not really that noticeable in real life but when the photo's were magnified....

No Time For Holidays?

My youngest daughter is off on her well deserved beach holiday, I on the other hand do not get a holiday until January 2015 and even then no beach will be involved! So that means only one thing a holiday beach mani to brighten up my days. I started off with two coats of Lacquistry Amazeballz Original a super sparkly without being glitter pale gold to represent the beach. That green colour you see on the bottle and my ring finger is in fact a reflection of my emerald green jumper I was wearing, proving you cannot get a polish more reflective than this one!

For this stamping I chose Mundo de Unas brightest holiday colours blue #4, Reddish #32, yellow #11 and Mexican Pink #15. The stamping polish of choice as they stamp perfectly every time.

On to my mani then two coats of Lacquistry Amazeballz Original, on my thumb, index and pinkie I stamped Mundo de Unas #4 using MoYou Pro Collection XL 06 to represent the water swirling on to the beach. On my middle finger I stamped Mexican Pink #15 flipflops (thongs if you are Australian). On my ring finger I stamped yellow sunglasses and a reddish Hibiscus flower. And on my thumb over the blue I stamped a shell in Lacquistry Amazeballz You So Extra Fine. These were all from the MoYou London Tourist Collection 17 which is a Hawaiian theme and you can not get more beachy than that!

Australian Art!

When I saw how well Cult Nails Lethal a very sparkly silver stamped I really wanted to do a silver design and chanced upon MoYou London Explorer Collection 06 and thought they would look really pretty. The images on this plate are actually a take off of Aboriginal Art which is really very colourful dots making up a design.

As I was using the sea turtle and what appeared to be a river I thought I would use one of Picture Polish's new releases which really grabbed me, Blue Dog. Picture Polish Blue Dog is a collaboration colour with Vampy Varnish and has a grey blue base with teal blue glass flecks plus white shimmer. Unfortunately I didn't really get to see its true beauty as the Cult Nails covered so much.

So on to my mani then two coats of Picture Polish Blue Dog stamped with Cult Nails Lethal and then finished with a top coat of Seche Vite.
